La Cueva de los Majuelos

The Cueva de los Majuelos is one of the most unique natural sites in the area around Pegalajar, in the Sierra Mágina region. It is a natural cavity carved into the limestone rock, forming a large vault beneath which lies a spacious area of approximately 1,000 square metres.

The cave boasts an impressive geological structure, with a vault some 25 metres high covering the interior and a small opening at the top in the form of a natural chimney, through which light enters, creating a very distinctive atmosphere inside the cavern.

This site stands out for its unique character within the area’s karst landscape, shaped over thousands of years by the action of water on limestone. The spaciousness of its interior and the grandeur of its vaulted ceiling make the cave a truly striking sight for visitors.

Today, the site also houses a restaurant located inside the cave, allowing visitors to enjoy local cuisine in a truly unique natural setting. The combination of nature, landscape and culinary experience makes the Cueva de los Majuelos a particularly attractive destination for those visiting Pegalajar and the Sierra Mágina Natural Park.
