With an external appearance similar to that of other rural farmhouses, inside today it preserves remains of what was an old hermitage, called the hermitage of San Ildefonso.

As in most rural areas of Jaén, these old farmhouses from the 18th and 19th centuries are owned by large families and have served over the years as a residence for field workers and olive pickers.
