4.50 per schoolchild per person

Ctra de Miranda del Rey, s/n. 23213 Santa Elena - Jaén How to get

On 16 July 1212, the Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa changed the course of Spanish history after the confrontation between the Christian Kings and the Muslim Caliph of Al-Andalus. The location of Santa Elena, next to the Despeñaperros Natural Park, at the entrance to the province of Jaen from the north, evokes that transcendental battle.

The exhibition centre is located next to the battlefield, 500 metres from the Autovía de Andalucía (Andalusian motorway) and presents the events with great historical rigour in an original and didactic way. Modern audiovisuals, scenography, reproductions of weapons and clothing give content to the Centre.
