Program
Procession of the Saint, bullfighting festivals, festivals and popular dinner. During the day of the Saint the confinements are celebrated in the old way, with halters that wrap the cattle so that it is shorter and less dangerous. During these days you like to have a drink in one of the many beach bars installed throughout the town, since the sun is not as strong as in August.
Visitors to the terraces begin to feel with a certain feigned disgust the arrival of the cold and the pleasure that comes from feeling a jacket or a fine sweater on the short sleeves while they chat while sitting down.
The aperitif offered by the town hall - it is always the day after the end of the bullfighting festivities - is another of the most remarkable events, since during that day two cattle are roasted in the bakery oven.
The meat is seasoned with garlic, pepper, salt, parsley, oregano and sautéed with white wine and is prepared in 25 cans or large pastry trays.
Once the same neighbors have distributed the trays of brava beef around the tables arranged and equipped with their corresponding loaves of bread and bottles of wine, without the need for a starting shot, an Andalusian Viking party begins, enlivened by the pasodobles. of the orchestra.
The picture that remains engraved in the memory of the visitor is the great harmony and friendship between the attendees -whether from the town or not-, while it is striking to see some intrepid diner devour a rib while holding it with both arms. This festival is celebrated in the town square during the August festivities and in the municipal booth during September.
