Falla de Tíscar

The Falla de Tíscar is a sinister tear fracture that borders the Sierra de Quesada on the E, always running close to the Quesada-Pozo Alcón highway. The fracture plane is nearly vertical. The fault has cut the southern tip of the Sierra de Cazorla, moving the southern fragment to the NW about 8 km.

At the proposed point, the fault plane can be observed, with associated fault rocks, as well as some horizontal striations that reveal the movement of this fracture.
