The olive grove fulfills an important ecological function. Being the main ecosystem, it is the one that determines most of its fauna. In the old trunks of the centenary olive trees, numerous birds, mammals and reptiles find refuge. Its fruits are a food of great energy value that the species that live in the olive grove take advantage of, as well as those migratory birds that recharge their batteries for their long journeys. Among the species that live continuously we find: the verdure and the greenfinch in the spring and summer months, and in winter the blackcap, the robin and the song thrush.
