Antiguo Ayuntamiento de Larva

Paseo de Andalucía, s/n,. 23591, Larva How to get

The lands of Larva have been populated since the oldest prehistory, a settlement sponsored by its location near the Guadiana Menor, on the communication route that linked the Alto Guadalquivir with Levante.

One kilometer from the town center is the Iberian settlement of Cerro de Castellón, dated between the 2nd and 1st century BC. It is a fortified enclosure located at the top of an isolated hill in the middle of the plain, which continued to be occupied in Roman times.

Among the Larva farmhouse the old Town Hall stands out, located on a hillock, with whitewashed walls, large symmetrical and vertical openings, adapted to the slight unevenness of the street, and which is distinguished from the typology of the houses that surround it by a Prismatic pediment, higher, which houses a clock and a small bell, following the model of the town council houses of the illustrated colonization.
