The Villanueva del Arzobispo Bullring is neo-Mudejar in style, with the use of brick and horseshoe arches.

It was designed by the Architect D. Ángel Arbex, Commander of Engineers. It was inaugurated on September 10, 1928 by the rejoneador Antonio Cañero and the matadors Manuel Jiménez Chicuelo, "El Algabeño" and Vicente Barrera before eight bulls from the Veragua ranch.
