The Siles to Villarrodrigo Trail runs almost entirely along a forest track that connects these two towns, crossing the valleys of the Guadalimar and its tributary, the Onsares.
Information
We will walk through a varied landscape of low and medium mountains, between olive groves and masses of Aleppo and Black pine with abundant Mediterranean undergrowth, dotted with beautiful walnut trees, gall oaks and stone pines. We can also see well-preserved riverbank vegetation.
Between the Dehesa del Oso and Villarrodrigo there are long stretches from which we will enjoy wide views of the entire Natural Park. In the vicinity of Villarrodrigo you can see the last eastern foothills of Sierra Morena and the transitional landscape formed by meadows.
Corvids such as jay and crows are abundant, as well as wild boar. In the Cambrón area there is an interesting colony of griffon vultures.
