Its construction ended in 1789 and it preserves the colonial typology of these buildings destined to store grain and seeds, control and regulate their production, as well as their redistribution.

Rectangular with thick walls covered in sandstone ashlar masonry and resistant interior arches. Originally it consisted of a single floor, however a second was built later.

The Pósito de labradores has been used as a warehouse, a civil guard barracks, a powder magazine during the War of Independence and a children's school.
