Located in the municipality of La Guardia, just 500 meters from the urban center, is this site from the Visigothic period whose tombs are dug into the rock.
According to the investigations it is a necropolis whose extension would surround the entire town, which makes it one of the most important at the national level.
In 1954, the first archaeological excavation was carried out, inspecting 22 tombs of which only 7 remained intact. The inspected tombs had an ovoid and excessively elongated shape, not keeping a specific orientation.
Next to this Visigoth necropolis - barely 30 meters away - is another from the Muslim period.
