The Iznatoraf wall, declared an asset of cultural interest, was an imposing fortification of which only two forts and five gates remain. One of them is the arch of the Pozo de la Nieve, located on Cava street; Another is in the town square, next to the Church of the Assumption, and is called Puerta del Arrabal. The Muslim layout of the wall, built on previous settlements, had eleven forts and nine arches, in what was its moment of maximum splendor. After the Reconquest and the loss of interest in the municipality as a defensive bastion, the strength of the local economy led the residents of Iznatoraf to abandon the protection of the walls and settle in the surroundings. Abandoned the castle in the s. XVII, its ashlars and those of the wall were gradually pasture of prey, to build houses.
