Iglesia de San Pedro Apóstol

Plaza San Pedro, 1. 23650, Torredonjimeno How to get

Renaissance style, designed by Francisco del Castillo "El Mozo" and built in 1592. It is divided into three naves by sober Tuscan columns that support a Mudejar coffered ceiling: the one on the right dedicated to the Virgen de las Angustias, the left is occupied by the Christ of Love and in the background the Chapel of the Virgen del Carmen. Above the presbytery there is a quarter-sphere vault, on pendentives, covered with frescoes of the Celestial Glory. The altarpiece, from the first third of the seventeenth century, is originally from a convent in Valladolid. The large number of Holy Week imagery works also stands out.
