The church of San Andrés de Villanueva del Arzobispo is located in the historic center of this town in the province of Jaén. The current temple, dating from around the 16th century, was built over a previous one that had to occupy the parade ground of the medieval fortress, of which two of the four original towers are still preserved today, attached to the temple's factory. This building complex perfectly synthesizes the military and religious architecture.
