El Ojuelo y el Robledo
Singular places
, Segura de la Sierra
El Ojuelo extends around a crossroads next to which there is a small park and a hermitage. A little higher up, a large fountain is an obligatory stop to fill the canteen with fresh water and chat with the neighbors. Although it celebrates festivals in June, the olive tree festivities, Ojuelo is known for those it celebrates in the first week of August, with festivals attended by people from all over the region.
If you cross the fertile plain where the Ojuelo sits, you will reach the Robledo just at the foot of the Yelmo. A long street with houses on both sides leads us to a small square with a hermitage and a little higher up a forest house, which will be the headquarters of an Air Themed Space featuring free-flight sports, since the Helm is very close.
El Robledo marks at its 900 meters of altitude the cut between the olive grove and the pine grove. Leaving through a forest track you can climb up to the Yelmo, stopping at a viewpoint next to the track that offers spectacular views over the valley.
