Cañón del Río Guadalentín

The Guadalentín river canyon is a fluvial form generated by the embedding of the Guadalentín river in the upper Cretaceous dolomites of the Sierra del Pozo. This river also takes advantage of a fracture in the middle direction N-S. Fluvial, karst and tectonic processes have therefore intervened in the formation of this morphology.
