Torre del Reloj

Calle de Josefa Sta. Maria, 2. 23460, Peal de Becerro How to get

As we approach the mound on which the town sits, two towers stand out in the heart of the urban nucleus that were part of a medieval fortress that was attached to Quesada and that, after the fourteenth century equator, in 1361, was sacked and burned in a raid of Arab troops from the kingdom of Granada.

The Clock Tower, erected at the end of the 14th century, is about twelve meters high. It sits on a stone plinth, is quadrangular, its chairs are not totally regular, it is internally distributed on four levels, it preserves the battlements and also, on two of its faces, balconies with machicolations; in another, machicolation corbels; while in the one to the northwest a clock that gives it its name has been placed, where the machicolation and its corbels were originally located.

In 1985 it was declared a Site of Cultural Interest.
