The Castillejo de Cárchel is of Muslim origin and in the surroundings a multitude of fragments of glazed and unglazed Hispano-Muslim pottery have appeared, and among all the archaeological remains found in the area, the head of a fired clay figurine stands out, found in 1997 by the child José M. Ruiz. Possibly it is about a survival of the Iberian votive offerings in Muslim times.
