Traditionally, the first centuries of the Christian era have been given as a true chronology for this construction, coinciding with the Roman presence in our lands, and the proximity of the Almansas, where there was an important settlement at that time.

Architecturally it is a bridge with a single eye formed by a semi-circular arch, quite robust and with pillars and walls that force the Cañamares river to bend. The seating is well worked and fairly regular in size.
