Built in Muslim times, it served as a dam in case of danger, since it was covered with a door, the waters stagnant and rose in level, flooding everything and leaving the bridge impractical. Some medieval elements are still partially hidden, but most of it today is modern: it is a long segmental arch with a half-barrel vault that forms its only eye.
