It is an imposing 1,847-meter-high peak, where there is also a geodesic vertex, from which we can enjoy impressive views of the Natural Park. It is accessed on foot, through a path.
Location: To the south of the town, in the Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas Natural Park.
Distance: 16 km.
Medium: By tourism vehicle and on foot.
Access road: On the A-319 towards La Iruela; At this point, after traveling 13 km, we will take the Chorro path, then detour along a bridle path that leads to Puerto del Tejo.
When you reach Puerto de Gilillo, you leave the path to turn right and climb to the rocky peak of the same name, a spectacular watchtower with beautiful views in all directions. The descent is made towards the Puerto de Gilillo, and you will have to go through an old refuge in ruins where a downhill path begins, this passes through the Loma de Los Castellones, with beautiful views of Calar de Juana and Cabañas, as well as a spectacular syncline that is to our left, we will soon arrive at the Laguna de Cazorla, a large sinkhole where we will take a beautiful horseshoe path that goes towards Puerto del Tejo. From here, a beautiful descent along a masonry path begins, passing under the Banderín and Cejo de la Mora, with beautiful views towards Los Castellones and Gilillo, until reaching the ruins of the Forest House of Prado Redondo, a beautiful corner with a source.
