Parque del Guadalquivir
Calle Santa Potenciana, nº 14. 23730, Villanueva de la Reina How to get
The Guadalquivir Park is a magnificent garden area on the banks of the Guadalquivir River of about 500 meters in length, divided into two parts: the park itself and the Paseo del Aceite, on this walk we can find an authentic old oil press. Inside the park there is also a cycle path that winds and crosses the river.
Information
The different meanders formed by the Guadalquivir as it passes through Villanueva de la Reina allow exuberant vegetation with arboreal species, among which willows, poplars, poplars, brambles and eucalyptus stand out. Among the fauna that can be observed in the park, it is frequent to find mallards, storks, leper galapagos, gray herons, American red crabs, viperine snakes, kingfishers, bee-eaters or nightingales. We have access accessible from two areas: on the left by Calle la Tercia and on the right by the so-called Paseo del Aceite. The Park has landscaped recreation areas, a walkway to cross the river to the Las Viñas area, and the fairgrounds.
