A festivity that is lived with emotion and tradition in our town, are the Fiestas del Toro Ensogado, in Honor of San Marcos, which take place from April 22 to 25. These days the bull, symbol of the Holy Evangelist, occupies a relevant place in the development of the acts as a fundamental totemic animal of the festival, in which the young men, in their confrontation with the fierceness of those who represent the inalienable challenge to nature They try to dominate him and make him docile to the image of Saint Mark.

These festivities are preceded by the celebration of the traditional pilgrimage in Honor of San Marcos, organized by the Brotherhood of San Marcos and which is celebrated on the first Sunday of April. The image of the Saint leaves in procession from the square of the same name towards the farmhouse of "El Álamo". After the path, which runs through our green olive groves, a mass is celebrated. In the early afternoon the trophy ceremony takes place in its different modalities; to the best rope, to the best jog and to the best rig. Queen Sanmarquera and the first lady of honor are also named.

The beginning of the celebration of the San Marcos festivities is marked by the proclamation. A proclamation that takes place from the balcony of the headquarters of the Brotherhood of San Marcos and is attended by a multitude of residents and visitors. It is the announcement that the parties begin.
