The hermitage of the Virgen de los Remedios is located in Canena, in the province of Jaén. Its construction began at the end of the 15th century and was completed in the middle of the 18th century thanks to alms as indicated on the facade. Access through a door with a semicircular arch on vaulted imposts with a niche venerated by Santiago Apóstol. The entrance is protected by a small gate with three carpal arches that are lower than usual, supported by two Doric columns on plinths.
The beautiful late-baroque belfry is crowned by a beautiful 18th century wrought iron cross. It was fully restored in the 1980s.
