The Despeñaperros Gorge is a great geological formation that forms the border between the plains of Castilla la Mancha and the Guadalquivir Valley, declared a Natural Park. Many of you will have been able to observe when passing by the road that crosses Despeñaperros, the large mouth open in the rock caused by the erosion of the river bed, on which the old route was built, which communicates Andalusia with the neighboring community.

Gorge caused by river erosion, which has a limestone wall about 400 meters high. Right there there is a didactic path dedicated to local botany.

Location: On the Granada highway, right on the edge of the municipal terms of Campillo, Cárcheles and Cambil.
