The Cerro de la Coronilla, located in the Cortijo de la Atalaya, a place where the first important settlement of Cazalilla has been identified, configured thanks to its height as an integral element of a strategic defensive system in the area in the Copper Age. It is a small fortified enclosure with a control and deterrent function in the middle of the countryside.

Information

La Coronilla has today become an outstanding archaeological site from which important pieces have been extracted, some of which are exhibited in the Iberian Museum of Jaén. It is a daggerboard, a closed clay container for domestic use.
