In 1705, King Felipe V granted the title of Count of the Quintería to Eugenio José de Miranda y Gamboa of the local nobility, and it was issued in the name of Manuel Francisco de Cárdenas y Palomino, his son-in-law, first Count of the Quintería.

The Infante Carlos III, son of Felipe V, in one of his trips, spent the night in this palace on October 27, 1731, the then Infante Carlos III, King of Spain from the year 1759.
He stayed in this palace to avoid an outbreak of smallpox that devastated Andújar.
In the afternoon he was distracted hunting from his window and in the evening he witnessed from the windows of his room the fireworks that were prepared for this occasion in Andújar.
