From this viewpoint, located amidst Mediterranean pasture lands, we will see the distant sierras of 'Calderones' and 'Ambroz', in the north-western limits of the Natural Park of Sierra de Andújar. The place, strongly connected to reputed breeds of cattle, opens onto a landscape where human- and nature-shaped landscapes coexist in harmony. The most common tree on these meadow farms is the holm oak (Quercus ilex), alternating in certain areas with cork trees (Quercus suber). One particular feature of the whole area is that the hills exposed to the sun are covered by thin vegetation or, occasionally, by gum rockroses (Cistus ladanifer), while the shady areas enclosed in-between valleys are so overgrown with vegetation that the ground can barely be seen. Many game animals find shelter and food in these areas. It is not unusual to see a partrige and her young or an eagle surveying the area for food.
