Location: Villanueva de la Reina is located in the fertile valley of the Guadalquivir, the old granary of Rome. It belongs to the judicial district of Andújar, province of Jaén, which has the largest extension of protected natural areas, not only in Andalusia, but in all of Spain.
The superb landscape, with millions of olive trees, has been created by man. a rare example, precisely in warm countries, of using nature without destroying it. here passes one of the routes of "the andalusí legacy", specifically the "route of the nazaríes".

At a maximum of one hour by car, you can find such important cultural centers as Cordoba, Granada, Jaen, Ubeda and Baeza. the area is part of the territory of the Iberians, and in the provincial museum of Jaen you can see magnificent testimonies of their culture. it was also the scene of the second Punic war (between Rome and Carthage) as well as, more recently, the war of independence against Napoleon.

Activities: in the surroundings of Cazalilla (to the north, east and south) there are the mountains of sierra morena, sierra de Cazorla and sierra nevada, ideal for the practice of activities such as hiking, mountaineering and skiing.
