This medieval church, formerly under the invocation of Santa María de Gracia, has suffered several mishaps, the most serious caused by the French troops in their flight after the defeat of Bailén. As of 1825 a long period of works began for its restoration.

Inside there is a painting on the wall covering the wide apsidal space. Its iconography includes three main themes: The Coronation of the Virgin, The Ascension of the Lord and The Visitation.

An impressive fresco can be seen on the facade of the Church. From its exterior, the bell tower with a square base stands out on a pinnacle of tile.
