Program

On Corpus Christi, after the solemn religious festival that is celebrated each year in a parish, the Custody of the 17th century is taken out in procession, on a magnificent silver throne and gold finishes, given by the Night Adoration in 1972, and works of the Ángulo de Lucena brothers. The throne is adorned by hundreds of red and white carnations that represent children who have made their first communion. The courtship is opened by these boys and girls, then there is the Tarsicios section headed by its script, and after them the Nocturnal Adoration, also headed by its script. Many people surround the holy of holies, lighting and singing, they also accompany the brotherhoods and brotherhoods of the city that install altars.

In the traditional route there are stops adorned with beautiful altars. The ground is full of sedge and mastranchos.

The altars designed by the neighborhood are worth highlighting. The neighbors strive to decorate their streets, every year as best as possible, reaching a competitiveness. The balconies are adorned with flags, shawls, tapestries, ... The streets are full of flowerpots.

Already in the sixteenth century there was a brotherhood dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament and formerly its eighth was held the following Sunday the day of Corpus Christi, in the afternoon, around the square. The custody was carried by the priest in the hand.

The altars were located at the door of the town hall, on the corner of Calle San Fernando behind the pillar, and on the corner of Calle Juan de Mata, giving the blessing to the people from the altar of the church door.
