In the festivities of the Virgin, together with the religious spirit, the playful sense with which one receives and entertains the emigrants who return to their town on vacation prevails. The religious festival, with the procession of the image of the Virgin –beautiful carving by the sculptor Navas Parejo–, together with the popular festivals, give body to the summer festivities in Canena.
