In the Feast of the Cross there is a religious part that consists of the procession towards the fields of Our Father Jesus, with the cross on their shoulders, sponsored by his brotherhood that after the procession they celebrate agape, which each year acquires greater dimension, since each Big Brother who happens, tries to overcome the previous year.

And on the other hand there is another pagan festival, called "Los Tíos de Ricia", both one and the other are celebrated on May 3, and the latter consists of decorating the streets of Jimena with puppets that the neighbors make by filling clothes with straw, having as head a ceramic pot and a pepper or hot pepper, depending on what is at hand, in the fly that, they say, represent the straw people that the collectors met when they went to collect the tithes, and, as he says the popular expression, they had to become like "the rooster of Morón": without feathers and cackling. A contest is established in which the most beautiful cross will not win but the most successful "uncle from ricia", but not because of the pepper or hot pepper, but because of the staging it represents. This party has gained momentum in recent years.
