Aceites Oleobercho
Aceites Oleobercho, from the SCA Santa María cooperative in Pegalajar, develops a project deeply connected to the olive-growing landscape of Sierra Mágina and to the extra virgin olive oil tradition of the region. Since 1968, generations of farmers have preserved a way of understanding olive oil rooted in a strong connection to the land, the care of the olive groves and the pursuit of an authentic flavour linked to the Picual variety. In the surroundings of Sierra del Bercho, among mountain olive groves and paths crossing Jaén’s vast “sea of olive trees”, an olive oil is born that reflects the personality of the territory and a deep respect for the natural cycles of the countryside.
At its olive mill, the cooperative combines experience and traditional knowledge to produce extra virgin olive oils with great aromatic intensity and sensory balance. Oleobercho oils stand out for their fruity and vegetal notes, with nuances reminiscent of tomato, fresh grass, almond and fruits typical of Andalusian orchards. Each harvest reflects the farmers’ commitment to quality, sustainability and the care of a landscape where olive growing forms an essential part of the cultural and agricultural identity of Sierra Mágina.
