DESCRIPTION

This road is located entirely in the municipality of Linares, in the province of Jaén. Starting at about 690 m from the so-called Almería Station, corresponding to the route of the old Linares - Almería Railway Line, part of the junction of the Camino de Úbeda with the old railway line. From this point and for almost 6 km, until it crosses the Camino del Molino de Arquillos, it runs with a gentle slope. This makes it passable, on foot or by bicycle, for people of all ages and even for people with reduced mobility.

At a kilometer point, you can make a stop on the way and enjoy a beautiful view of the Guadalimar Valley and various nearby towns from the Mirador del Valle.

Along the walk, you can also enjoy the pleasant smell of bushes and aromatic plants such as broom, oleander, rosemary or santolina. Likewise, the Greenway is surrounded on both sides by different species of trees. With more than 1,500 specimens, both of native species such as holm oaks, carob, hackberry or white poplar, as well as other species of ornamental trees common in this area, such as cinnamon, false acacia or sophora, among others.
