Ruta del Olivo “Desde el renacimiento a Sierra Mágina"

The experience unfolds as a full-day journey that connects culture, landscape and gastronomy through olive oil, travelling across the territory from the countryside of Baeza to the mountains of Sierra Mágina.

We begin in Baeza, a World Heritage city, from where we set off towards an estate of centuries-old olive trees next to the Olive Culture Museum at Hacienda La Laguna. In this setting, visitors are introduced to the world of olive oil through an introductory tasting workshop, where they learn to recognise the aromas, nuances and qualities of EVOO.

Next, the route enters Sierra Mágina, where the landscape gradually changes from a sea of olive groves to mid- and high-mountain areas. Along the way, stops are made in municipalities such as Jimena, connecting with agricultural tradition and local products, as well as in other places where olive oil and gastronomy form an essential part of the identity of the territory.

The experience continues by ascending through Puerto de Mágina, where the open panoramic views help visitors understand the scale of the landscape, among olive groves, hills and mountains. The route is completed with a visit to Torres and its surroundings before returning to Baeza, closing a day that combines knowledge, tasting and direct contact with the territory.
