Olivos y Sabores Locales en Señorío de Camarasa

The experience is structured around several carefully designed moments to discover olive oil through local gastronomy, connecting the product with the flavours and traditions of the territory.

We begin with an introduction at the Señorío de Camarasa cooperative, where visitors discover the history of mountain olive groves and the value of olive oil as a central element of Sierra Mágina’s gastronomic culture. This first moment places the experience in its context, highlighting the uniqueness of the area’s Picual olive oil.

Next, we tour the facilities to follow the journey of the olive from its arrival at the olive mill after harvesting. During the visit, the different stages of the production process are explained — milling, extraction and obtaining the oil — showing how a quality EVOO is achieved through care at every stage.

Finally, the most eagerly awaited moment arrives: the tasting and sampling. Guided by specialised staff, visitors learn to recognise the characteristics of extra virgin olive oil while pairing it with local products such as cheeses and cured meats. This final part allows visitors to enjoy olive oil as an essential ingredient of gastronomy, appreciating its nuances in harmony with the flavours of the surroundings.

Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Saturdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Sundays closed.
