Blandillas
Blandillas are a traditional sweet from Bedmar y Garcíez, especially linked to Maundy Thursday and Holy Week. They are made with a light batter of flour, eggs and milk, flavoured with matalahúva, cinnamon and sweet anise.
After being beaten until it becomes a smooth, fluid cream, the batter is fried with a mould in hot oil, creating a delicate golden texture. Once ready, the blandillas are coated in sugar and cinnamon, resulting in a festive, aromatic sweet closely linked to the village’s traditional pastry-making.
