Santa Isabel de Torres

Santa Isabel de Torres, in Torres, is an olive oil cooperative specialising in the production of mountain-grown Picual EVOO under the Señorío de Camarasa brand. Located on the Jimena-Torres road, at km 7.8, within the Sierra Mágina Natural Park, it forms part of Degusta Jaén and Oleotour, offering visitors an experience linked to the olive groves, the mountain landscape and the culture of Jaén’s olive oil.

Its origins are linked to the water of Torres, one of the town’s defining features, and to a society of farmers who first supplied the village with electricity via the hydroelectric power station on the River Torres. In 1971, this collective spirit gave rise to the Santa Isabel de Torres Cooperative, founded with the aim of producing high-quality extra virgin olive oil from the fruit of its mountain olive trees, in a region where olive groves and cherry orchards coexist beneath the peaks of the Sierra Mágina.
