Gibralberca Trail

This is a medium-length trail, whose route is interesting because it passes from the southern slopes to the northern ones in a short period of time, which allows us to contemplate the change in the existing vegetation. There are many botanical species that we will be able to observe and which are typical of the Mediterranean forest. We will find oaks of considerable size, centenary gall oaks, repopulation pines such as the kermes oak or the resine, maples, rosehips, cornicabra, hawthorns, gorse, thyme...

Starting from the peaceful recreational area of Gibralberca, where we will find hundred-year-old holm oaks, we take a path that will take us to a point from where we can contemplate the Mágina crest on its southern face with several peaks of the mountain range that exceed 2,000 metres in height, such as Almadén, Pico Mágina and Ponce, and the different levels of vegetation depending on the altitude. On the way down we will reach the Umbría de Cano and on this part of the path it is not difficult to see golden eagles.
