Visita guiada “Leyendas e identidad fronteriza de Sierra Mágina"
The visit is structured as an interpretive tour of a cultural space that invites visitors to discover the history, mythology and frontier identity of Campillo de Arenas and its relationship with Sierra Mágina.
We begin by entering the “La Leyenda y la Frontera” Interpretation Centre, a museum and cultural house designed to bring visitors closer to the historical and symbolic heritage of the territory. Through different exhibition rooms, the tour presents in an enjoyable and educational way the stories, traditions and elements that have shaped local identity, showing how the frontier has influenced the history and culture of this area over time.
Next, the experience allows visitors to explore different thematic areas through explanatory panels, graphic resources and audiovisual spaces. Visitors can learn about aspects related to the natural environment and ethnographic heritage, archaeology and cultural heritage, as well as one of the most representative festive traditions of the area: the Moors and Christians festival. All of this is complemented by interactive exhibitions and content designed to provide a closer and more engaging understanding of the local legacy.
To finish, the centre offers other spaces that enrich the visit, such as a children’s room, an area for audiovisual screenings and a space where visitors can purchase typical products from the Sierra Mágina region. In this way, the experience becomes a complete proposal to discover, from different perspectives, the memory, legends and identity of Campillo de Arenas.
