Visita guiada “Caminería Histórica de La Cerradura"

The visit is structured as an outdoor interpretive route that invites visitors to discover the historical importance of traditional paths and their role in the life of Sierra Mágina over time.

We begin by entering the exhibition area of La Cerradura, a site dedicated to highlighting the network of historic paths and routes that, for centuries, connected villages, facilitated trade and served as passageways for travellers, livestock and goods. Through this first contact, visitors understand how these routes formed an essential part of the social, economic and cultural development of the territory.

Next, the route allows visitors to discover different heritage elements preserved in the surroundings, such as milestones, boundary markers and old signs linked to historic roads and paths. The informative panels and interpretive explanations help visitors understand the evolution of these routes, their traditional uses and the relevance they had as spaces for transit, communication and exchange between regions.

To finish, the experience offers a broader view of the value of historic paths as part of the memory of the landscape. Walking through La Cerradura is also a way to reconnect with the territory, understand its history from the ground itself and rediscover a legacy that still speaks today of the passage of time, traditional ways of life and the relationship between people and their paths.
