Saborea Sierra Mágina: Visita y degusta el aceite de oro Magnasur
The experience is structured around several stages designed to bring visitors closer to the history, production and tasting of extra virgin olive oil at one of the most representative cooperatives in Sierra Mágina.
We begin with the reception of participants and an introduction to the history of SCA Bedmarense Magnasur, a cooperative founded in 1950 by a large group of olive growers with the aim of defending and enhancing the value of their agricultural production. This first part of the visit provides an insight into the historical and social importance of the cooperative in Bedmar y Garcíez, as well as its evolution into one of the most outstanding olive mills in the region. The experience also includes the screening of a corporate video, which helps to provide further context about its history and activity.
Next, visitors enjoy a guided tour of the olive mill to learn first-hand about the production process of Magnasur and Oro Magnasur extra virgin olive oil. During this part of the itinerary, the different production stages are explained, showing how high-quality oil is obtained from mountain olive groves. The visit also offers the opportunity to explore the organoleptic characteristics of EVOO in greater depth, gaining a better understanding of its aromas, flavours, properties and health benefits.
To finish, the experience culminates with an organoleptic tasting and sampling of Magnasur and Oro Magnasur extra virgin olive oils, an ideal moment to learn how to recognise the quality of authentic EVOO through the senses. As a souvenir of the visit, each participant also receives a 250 ml bottle of Magnasur. This activity is designed to be enjoyed as a couple, with family, friends or in a group, and offers a close connection with one of Sierra Mágina’s great products.
