Popular Race Route of the Iberians
The Popular Race Route of the Iberians is a sporting event held in Huelma, firmly established as a key date in the local calendar. In its twentieth edition, it keeps its traditional 6,500-metre urban circuit, running through some of the municipality’s main streets.
The race starts from El Ferial Park, next to Doctor Fleming Street, on a route designed for runners of different levels. Each year, the event brings together numerous participants and is aimed both at personal enjoyment and sporting activity in an urban setting with its own identity.
Organised by Huelma y Solera Town Council, with the collaboration of sports organisations such as Sportmaniacs, Jaén Provincial Council, the Andalusian Athletics Federation and Huelma Athletics Club, the race includes specific signage, a refreshment point, public toilets, shower facilities and prizes, including a trophy and olive oil.
