From 12 September to 11 October, the province of Jaén again became a great stage where art and emotion came together to celebrate the Iberian legacy. The 6th edition of Iberian Resonances offered the public a unique experience that combined music, guided tours and theatre in some of the most representative enclaves of the Iberian culture.

Eight Iberian enclaves, eight unforgettable nights

For almost a month, eight archaeological spaces hosted musical proposals that merged tradition and contemporaneity. Each date allowed to discover the past ibero in a different way, with concerts at dusk, guided routes and intimate encounters that connected artists and the public in an environment full of symbolism.

The scenarios were as diverse as they were special: the Oppidum de Puente Tablas en Jaén, the Sepulcral Chamber of Toya and the Principesque Tombs of Peal de Becerro, the Ciclopeia Wall of Ibros, the Necropolis Cerrillo Blanco de Porcula, the Ibero Visitors Center and the Santiago Collegiata in Castellar, the Ibero Interpretation Centre of Giribata in Vilches and the Iliturgi Interpretation Centre and the Plaza of the Constitution of Mengibar.

The Equinox of Autumn: a dawn with history

The Equinox of Puente Tablas was once again the most symbolic moment of this edition. Much more than an astronomical phenomenon, this meeting was a meeting with the sacred and the Iberian roots that last in the field.

Every year, at the dawn of the autumn equinox, the sanctuary becomes a ritual space where the past comes to life. On this occasion, Teatro La Paca recreated an ancient Iberian ceremony inspired by ancient rituals, accompanied by live ancient music and without artificial scenography, for a reduced audience.

The attendees went through the sanctuary as the sunlight crossed the mythical Puerta del Sol, creating a moment of deep connection with the Iberian spirituality and the sacred landscape of Puente Tablas. A living tribute to the essence of a people who, thousands of years later, continue to leave a mark in the heart of Jaén.

Music as a bridge between past and present

The cycle has brought together artists who were able to reinterpret the Mediterranean and Andalusian heritage with new sound languages.

• Ana Crismán, with her flamenco harp, premiered Arpaora accompanied by the singing by Rocío del Corzo and the percussion by Pedro Navarro.

• Pancho Varona offered an intimate concert in Castellar full of emotion and closeness.

• Minha Lua paid tribute to large female voices through fado and Latin American song.

• Angela Cervantes presented Atemporal, a musical journey in seven languages for the memory of the Mediterranean.

• Emilio Villalba and Sara Marina recreated the sounds of ancient and medieval music.

• Blanca Altable and Chuchi merged Spanish folklore and contemporary folk.

• Betula Alma proposed a spiritual journey between Iberian roots and Celtic melodies.

• And the Seven Plus One group closed the cycle with its original vocal show to cappella.

An encounter between art, heritage and community

Iberas 2025 resonances again demonstrated that music can be a powerful tool to bring heritage to the public and value Jaén's archaeological landscapes
