Contradía Barranco was founded in 1936 by Francisca Jurado, Francisca descendant of a family dedicated to the furnaces, began to produce and sell its own products in what was a carpentry workshop, when it was destroyed at the beginning of the Spanish civil war. Since then, four generations later, its doors remain open in the heart of the Jiennese capital, located on San Clemente Street, known as the "Simago Street." Today the times are changing and Barranco confectionery with them, without losing their distinctive artisan products made with the best virgin olive oil on our land.
