Description
Descendants of a family of watchmakers, Juan Ma and Francisco are introduced into this sector from very small, being able to innovate and expand the business after receiving a comprehensive training in jewelry and restoration. They offer from their workshop, declared by the Junta de Andalucía Punto de Interés Artesanal, the possibility of making to measure any piece or article requested by the customer, with the particularity of reusing the metal that the customer brings from damaged, broken or in disuse. The process of making, completely artisan, allows them to work with all kinds of materials such as gold, silver, bronze, brass, and even ceramic, and to create a signature of jewelry, "De Barro y Plata" along with the artisan potter Pablo Tito. Using the most traditional techniques, these two brothers have been able to adapt to the current trend, introducing new methods and processes for the development and restoration of emblematic jewels or historical and old pieces. Among his works are the Gold Medal of the City, delivered in 1992 to the then was Queen Sofia or the one recently awarded to Joaquín Sabina.
