Description
After completing his design studies at the School of Art in Granada, Melchor decided to join, together with his father, the family pottery workshop located on the mythical street Valencia de Ubeda, artisan area and pottery. A workshop that dates from the Arab time of the city (before 1234) and is now almost the same, even with the three impressive Spanish-Arab ovens. One of them, the one used by Melchor Tito for the cooking of its most special creations, may be the oldest and largest operating oven in all of southern Europe, as it is prior to the year 1234.
It brings together a pottery of the most traditional, respecting the techniques and forms of its ancestors and with a clear Arab influence in terms of design, colors and finishes. Of the highest quality, its pieces are unique and exclusive, thus ensuring the authenticity of Melchor Tito's pottery.
