Description
Compact version (60-90 min) of the visit to Melgarejo Oils (Pegalajar): history of the almazara, through the production area (milling to conservation), and tasting of Picual oils of early harvest of mountain olive trees. Max. 15 people. 20 €/ adult · 15 €/ child.The visit is organized in three moments to discover the extra virgin olive oil from its origin to its final tasting, combining history, process of elaboration and sensory analysis. We begin with a presentation on the history and trajectory of Melgarejo oils: its philosophy of almazara, the bet on high-range oils of early harvest (Picual variety) of mountain olive trees, and the importance of each detail from the field to the reception of the olive in factory. Then we will visit the production area step by step: milling, smoothie, extraction and final conservation. This part allows you to understand what is behind each bottle and how the technique and experience allow you to obtain intense, aromatic and self-contained oils. Finally, the tasting and tasting of guided oils teaches to identify aromas, flavors and nuances, appreciating the differences between several oils. An ideal proposal to learn, taste and live the AOVE from a close and authentic perspective.
