Guided visit to the Castle and the Walled Entrance of Jódar (one of the oldest fortresses of Andalusia): a museum exhibition at the Centre of Historical Interpretation, visited by the castle with architectural and strategic explanation. Saturdays 11-13h and 16-18h / 11-13h Sundays. ~ 1 hour.The visit is articulated in a guided tour that allows you to discover the history of one of the most emblematic fortresses of Sierra Magina and to know closely its military, social and architectural value over the centuries. We begin at the Centre of Historical Interpretation of Jódar Castle, a museum space that introduces the visitor in the past of this fortress, considered one of the oldest in Andalusia. Through interpretative panels and exhibition content, the visit offers an overview of the origin of the castle, its defensive evolution and its importance within the territory. The guided tour of the castle and the walled enclosure then explains its main architectural elements and its strategic function at different times in history. The visitor understands how this fortress was an essential part of local life from a military and social point of view, and how its presence has marked Jódar's identity so far.
